Things we are loving right now…

One of our favorite innovations in recent years has been the rise of beautifully designed cordless lighting.

What was once a category dominated by lower-end options has transformed as many of our high-end vendors now offer exceptional cordless table lamps, floor lamps, and even wall-mounted fixtures.

The real breakthrough lies in newly developed lighting modules that combine both the power source and the light source into a compact unit that simply clicks into place.

A dedicated charging station keeps additional modules ready to go, allowing traditional fixtures to function as fully cordless pieces.

This technology has given us far more flexibility—letting us add lighting in areas that previously felt impossible due to outlet locations or visible cords. It has truly expanded what we can do with a space.

Behind the Scenes: Design in Progress

Our whole team spent the week before Thanksgiving up in Sea Ranch installing a home we just completed. What began as a simple furnishing project organically grew into lighting updates, roman clay, paint, and a bit of construction that transformed the space into a warm, modern interpretation of the Sea Ranch aesthetic.

We directed, moved, placed, pressed—and handled the hundred little things it takes to bring a home to life. Over three days we lived together, worked together, ate together, and truly made this house a home together. Such a special experience.

Stay tuned for after images but here is a sneak peak of what is to come…

Design News

As we step into the second week of December, our team is closing out 2025 and preparing for a two-week holiday break—a much-needed pause before we launch into the new year with fresh energy.

I keep coming back to 2026 as the Year of the Fire Horse.

The Chinese Zodiac follows a 12-year cycle of animals, layered with a repeating 60-year cycle of elements. Each pairing appears only once every six decades, making this one especially rare.

The last Fire Horse year was 1966—the year I was born—which is probably why this one feels so personal.

The Fire Horse is known for speed, momentum, transformation, and boldly charting its own path.

For businesses and individuals alike, this energy often brings:

• Quick growth and sweeping change
• Braver choices
• Creative breakthroughs
• Reinvention
• A renewed commitment to authenticity

After a year like 2025—a year of building, stretching, and doing the foundational work—it feels good to step into a cycle that promises movement and possibility.

Here’s to a year of forward motion.

Cheers,
Tama
